This September, the British Franchise Association announced winners of the best franchisees of the year award at a gala event in Birmingham.
Founded by major British franchises, in 1997, the bfa, British Franchise Association, has since acted in the interest of the franchise industry – giving the deserved credit to outstanding franchises while helping franchisees to chose the best franchises to start their business. The bfa uses strict and extensive criteria to test those wishing to become a member of the association and only if successful, a franchisor or professional advisor will be allowed to join the association.
This year, the bfa awarded the UK’s “most exceptional franchisees” at a gala event held at Birmingham Tall Hall, on September 29th. The awards, which take place only a day before The National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC Arena, also in Birmingham, aims to give recognition to the franchisees that were able to show outstanding entrepreneurial excellence in their business.
Franchisee of the Year
The overall Franchisee of the Year award was given to Revive! East Anglia franchisees Adam Holmes, Nathan Holmes and Andrew Blackhurst. The company, which prides itself on being smart and mobile, provides intelligent repair to car damages, refurbishment of alloy wheels and even van paintwork. Revive! also won the Customer Service Franchise of the Year, ending the night with two awards.
Next in line was Kevin Lawley, with Minster Cleaning Services, winning the award for B2B Franchisee of the Year. Minister Cleaning Services, one of the UK’s biggest cleaning franchises, has over 40 branches across the UK – the largest of them with annual sales of over a £1 million.
Steve Brown, from Rosemary Bookkeeping, won in the category Olderpreneur Franchisee of the Year. Founded in 2002, the company provides smart bookkeeping services to SMEs and accountants. Together, the Head Office team has over 60 years of experience between them.
