About in-toto kitchens
Our well-established in-toto kitchen brand was introduced to the UK over 35 years ago and we still get excited about the products we offer today. It’s not just about cabinets and cooking space – the kitchen is the heart of the home and it’s a pleasure to be involved in the personal design for so many interesting clients.
in-toto shares the rich heritage of its parent company, ALNO – a European market leader in kitchen design with exceptional German quality. We’ve earned a reputation for using first rate materials and skilled designers, giving us a proud record of excellence with many national and local awards being won by our in-toto team. As a full member of the BFA since 1997, we are independently measured using established criteria against a code of ethical franchising.
This winning formula has made in-toto kitchens one of the largest kitchen specialists in the UK with almost 50 studios nationwide. We select and recruit truly first class franchise candidates and support them with a superb training package and experienced business backing. Our planned programme of expansion offers real opportunities for profitable careers in the kitchen industry to new in-toto kitchens franchisees.
in-toto is a registered trademark and has strong brand recognition through our many high street studios and powerful marketing campaigns. We have credibility as a business that has been established for more than three decades. By joining the in-toto kitchens franchise, you will benefit from the expertise and backing of a large organisation whilst still having the freedom of owning your business.
We’ve earned a reputation for excellence with our high-quality ranges that allow your customers to choose a style, finish and colour that really suits them, from minimalist handleless kitchens using innovative materials such as glass and lacquer to the traditional character of solid wood options.
Training, Support & Marketing
Our intensive 12 week initial training programme has been designed to teach you the specific skills required for the business. We cover all aspects of the franchise from product knowledge, kitchen planning, CAD and design, business systems, admin, order processing, accounts and finance, sales and negotiating, marketing and PR, presentation skills, customer services and health and safety.
Once you have opened your studio, a Franchise Manager will visit you frequently and you will have a comprehensive Franchise Manual to refer to at all times. Regardless of how long a franchisee has been with in-toto, we always make on-going training available and you will always have the support of our experienced Franchise Managers, together with the professional services of our Head Office personnel.
We support your local advertising and PR with powerful marketing on a national level, planned and delivered by our specialist in-house marketing department. Our campaigns help to build the brand profile and reputation for everyone in the franchise and we are regularly featured in the top consumer magazines.
Our eye-catching full page advertisements are printed monthly in prominent positions within leading lifestyle and kitchen magazines and are specially-designed to communicate our promotions and further drive brand recognition and showroom appointments via our website to the local studios.
Cost & Income
Your decision to open an in-toto franchise is not just about lifestyle, it’s also about making money and a return on the capital investment made.
The cost to set up will depend on the location of the Design Studio, its size and the on-going running costs.
A typical in-toto kitchens studio costs approximately £105,000 to set up plus £25,000 in working capital.
Dependant on how you decide to distribute your income and the overall profitability of the business, a typical in-toto kitchens franchisee can expect to take home £50,000 – £150,000 per annum.
Whilst previous kitchen fitting or design experience is not necessary, there are key characteristics that will help with the successful running of an in-toto business. If you’re enthusiastic, hard working, resilient, driven, committed both financially and personally, a good communicator and highly organised, preferably with project management skills, we would love to hear from you!
