Burger King ‘Franchisee of the Year’ wins $120k (£78k), gives it all back to employees!

Tom Barnett, the CEO of 24 Burger King franchises in Phoenix, Arizona recently won Franchisee of the Year, winning a Rolex and Corvette.

To show his thanks to his employees, the serial franchisee sold both the watch and the car and raised $120,000 with other co-franchisees, and handed it all out in bonuses to over 100 employees.

“I just couldn’t believe it. I was in shock,” Charity Callahan, a 15-year employee, said. “It was almost an entire month’s worth of pay for me. They made us all feel appreciated.”
